Elena is chair of the Cooper Group. She handed the company over to her husband, Dalton. Elena returns to board of directors after a 5-year absence, but no one at the company recognizes her anymore. Elena is met with a workplace full of gossip, bullying, and rumors. Many speculate that "Dalton's wife" is some old hag. Flora, Dalton's secretary, has repeatedly, unsuccessfully tried to seduce him. One day, Flora sees Dalton and Elena sharing affection, and believes Elena to be his mistress. Then, she finds out Elana is pregnant. Wanting to be Dalton's mistress herself, Flora sets her sights on tormenting Elena, and forcing her out of the picture.
